I visited an aquarium with my family this past week, and I was reminded of how amazing God’s creation is. I was also reminded of how blessed we are as God’s people, knowing that our God made us and knowing that we belong to Him and are loved by Him. We read these beautiful words in Psalm 100: “It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.” I pray that we would be a congregation that is always thankful to our Creator and Redeemer, and that we would say daily with the Psalmist, “For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations” (Psalm 100:5).

Q. 53. Which is the third commandment?
A. The third commandment is, Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
